Scantic Valley YMCA Launches Capital Campaign for Facility Improvements and Expansion

The YMCA of Greater Springfield has kicked off the Scantic Valley YMCA Capital Campaign, marking an exciting new chapter of growth and investment for the Scantic Valley community.
This important milestone is made possible in part by a generous gift from Monson Savings Bank, presented by Mike Rouette and Dan Moriarty to YMCA of Greater Springfield CEO Dexter Johnson.
Their support represents a powerful vote of confidence in the vision for the Scantic Valley YMCA: expanded and improved spaces, enhanced programs for all ages, and a stronger, more welcoming facility that will serve families for generations to come.
The capital campaign will focus on key improvements and expansion efforts designed to meet growing community needs, strengthen health and wellness opportunities, and ensure the Scantic Valley YMCA continues to be a cornerstone of connection, support, and impact in the region.
We are grateful to Monson Savings Bank for helping lead the way and to all our community partners, members, and supporters who believe in the future of the Y. More details about the project will be shared in the months ahead.
Together, we’re building what’s next for the Scantic Valley YMCA—and for the community we serve.
