SHARE THE LOVE FOR OUR YMCA

February begins our Annual Fund Campaign, and we hope you will find it in your heart to consider donating to the YMCA of Greater Springfield at your location or on-line at springfieldy.org with a one-time or monthly gift.

At the Y, we do not want to turn away anyone due to the inability to pay in full for programs and services, and we want to keep our programs running and available for all.

The YMCA of Greater Springfield is a non-profit charitable organization.  In order to keep up with our mission (To serve the human needs in greater Springfield by providing programs that promote lifelong personal growth and the balanced development of spirit, mind, and body for all.) we rely on charitable donations from members, program participants, community partners, and yes our staff, committee members, and board members.

The YMCA of Greater Springfield has two facilities operations – the Downtown YMCA in Springfield and the Scantic Valley YMCA in Wilbraham and two Learning Centers (Springfield and Wilbraham), in addition operates programs in remote community sites. The YMCA of Greater Springfield also owns and operates two-day camp properties, and a renovated church in the North End of Springfield, which is used as a highly successful teen outreach center.

Together….is how things get done at the Y.  In 2025 the YMCA of Greater Springfield had 13,000 members and program participants.  Because of the generous community the Y was able to serve: YMCA programs include child care and early education (248 children), before/after school programs (840 school age children), the Y-AIM teens outreach program (162 teens),  summer camp (926 youth and teens), swim lessons (1,800 youth & adults), LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA (742 program graduates to date), Parkinson Disease Exercise Program (30 current participants), Active Older Adults (1,829 members), Veterans & Active Military (1,341 members) and wellness classes for all ages and abilities.  In addition, there were 230 volunteers with over 1,2144 volunteer hours helping at special events, cleaning up our campgrounds, running special classes for our youth, and more.

We would like to thank our members, program participants, volunteers, and community partners for all you do to financially support our YMCA as a non-profit organization.
