Strengthening Our Mission: YMCA of Greater Springfield Hosts All Staff Training Day

What an incredible day for the staff at the YMCA of Greater Springfield! Teams from every part of our organization—Downtown Springfield YMCA, Scantic Valley Wilbraham YMCA, our Learning Centers, Before & After School and Camp programs, administration, lifeguards, and more—came together at Springfield College for our annual All Hands Training Day.

This full-day gathering focused on strengthening our mission, building connections, and elevating the experience we provide to children, families, and members across Western Massachusetts. Staff heard an inspiring address from our CEO and received a preview of the upcoming 175th Anniversary marketing campaign, which celebrates the YMCA’s long-standing impact in our community.

A major highlight of the day was recognizing employees celebrating 1 to over 35 (!) years of service, along with honoring the recipients of our first annual Staff Recognition Awards—celebrating outstanding team members who go above and beyond to fulfill our mission of helping all people learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you to every staff member who attended, engaged, and contributed to making this day meaningful. Events like these reflect the strength of our YMCA community and our shared commitment to serving our members with excellence.
